St Edward's has an active Sunday Club and Young People's
Fellowship (YPF)
both of whom meet at the same time
as the adults during the 9.30am morning service. We all start off in church
together and leave during the service for different groups.
Sunday Club is held every Sunday from 9.30am to 10.40am
approximately in the upper room above the Parlour at the rear of the Church.
The exception to this is on the 4th Sunday of every month which is All Age
Worship with Baptisms for children and their parents. The age group is 3-9 years at which
age children are encouraged to join the Church run YPF Group (Young Peoples
Fellowship)
The children move into the upper room after the
first part of the Church Service where they have prayers and songs before dividing
into age groups for Bible stories, activities, colouring etc., from the Scripture
Union lesson books.
During the Holy Communion services on the 1st and 3rd Sundays, the children are taken down into the Church for a blessing
and then return to the Upper Room until the end of the Church Service.
Children are warmly welcomed and should you wish
to bring your child or children along, please contact the Parish Office for
details or come along on a Sunday
YPF meets in the Vicarage and the young people (from nine upwards)
leave church for their group after the reading of the gospel. Throughout the
year there is a programme of social events and our young people help to lead our
monthly All Age services.
A crèche room is provided at St. Edward's at
the 9/30am service each Sunday. This is available in the Parlour.
