All Saints’ Church was built in 1885, a stunning Grade I Arts & Crafts Church designed by Norman Shaw. and reflecting the Tractarian principles of the Oxford Movement from which it sprang. The Church, therefore, clearly stands in the Catholic tradition, though its spirituality is sacramental. rather than self-consciously "High- Church". The Christian community at All Saints' is committed to its place within the Team, realising the distinct contribution it has to make. There are two Eucharists on a Sunday morning, a said Eucharist at 8am. (BCP monthly), and a Sung Eucharist with robed Choir and Servers at 9.30am.. Average communicant numbers range between 90-100. There is BCP Evensong each Sunday which averages around 15, and this service is gradually developing with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament; the introduction of Prayers for Healing , Memorial Services for the Recently Departed; and united services with our Catholic brothers and sisters at St. Mary' s. There are week-day masses and all Saints' Days are appropriately celebrated. As compared with a decade ago All Saints' has grown significantly as a worshipping community, and the focus of mission and ministry at the present time is upon the children and families who live in our community. All Saints' Aided First School has grown in the last six years from a school with c.80 pupils, to today c.200 pupils. The very close link between Church and School has been the launching pad for the new Children's Church and Junior Choir Who's Who at All Saints' Vicar: Fr. Carl Peters
